My Pen Name’s Identity

I’ve been receiving questions on the identity of my pen name, and I’ve been debating whether or not to make the post stating it.  You see, I write erotic romances under my pen name.  Now, the erotic romances aren’t too much different from what I write already.  I keep sex for marriage, and have the erotic romances with a focus on the husband and wife relationship.  The only real difference is that the sexual parts are more explicit.  I even cover masturbation.

I know that isn’t everyone’s preference, which is why I held off on mentioning it out in the public.  So I’m just giving everyone a heads up here.  One thing that irks me is when authors mislabel their work.  Sometimes I have a desire to write something with more spice than what I already write under my real name, so I decided to branch out and make a pen name to fit that desire.

Kate Page is the name I chose for my erotic romances.  Here’s the Facebook profile address if interested: http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100001767996652

Currently, I am writing the rough draft to Life Mate (which was Wish From Afar if anyone remembers my mentioning that).  I decided it would work better as an erotic romance.  It’s the one where the man comes from another planet where there are no women to find his Life Mate.

Here’s my WordPress blog so you can check out the first draft.  I’m doing the same thing as I do for my first draft blog under my real name.  It’ll give you an idea of what I’m writing as an erotic romance author.  Then you can decide if this is something you want to read or not.

This is the direct page with all the first draft chapters I’ve written so far for Life Mate.

All my erotic romances are contemporary.

Life Mate has an interesting premise. I really like how it sounds. 🙂

Life Mate has been pretty Hot compared to your other works, Kate. I have said that it’s a good thing we are just getting it a few words at a time!Wow! Hot Flashes! This same premise could be used for several books in a series. This one is so fun, I’ll hate to see it end. The next book could be his engineering friend, and so forth! Absolutely Love it, and you’ve always been forthcoming about content. Stellar work!!

    • I tried to tame this book down to fit under what I usually do, but it didn’t feel right. I think the characters want the book to go in this direction, and whenever I fought the characters in the past, I ended up with a second rate book I’ve had to go back and rewrite.

I do want to write about Chris’ friend. I was going to have Mark paired up with Sandy, but now I’m wondering if Lexie might be better because she’s engaged to the perfect doctor her mother fully approves of and I’m wondering if she’s engaged to him only because of that.
