I’m going to be heading over to Goodreads in the next couple of days to get this up and running. I got the proof copy of Bid for a Bride today and am happy with the cover and interior, so I am good to go for my first ever official book giveaway. I bought five copies tonight, and knowing CreateSpace, they’ll be quick and effecient with shipping. To be on the safe side, I opted for standard shipping.
Here’s the full cover in case anyone is interested:
Like I said, I will be adding a special coupon for a free download at Smashwords, and quite frankly, it’s fine with me if the winners of the paperbacks want to share the coupon with their friends. The real prize is the paperback, but the ebook is a nice bonus should they want one. And offering the coupon to others they’d like to share the book with (instead of potentially losing the paperback copy) will be a win-win for all. 😀
I’ll post a link to the giveaway on Facebook when it’s underway. I can only afford to mail off five copies since I am opening this up to overseas. People in the US and overseas have been very nice to me, so I’d like to give everyone a chance, but since overseas is more in shipping, I am limiting the number of free copies to five.
Goodreads selects the winners, not me. But if you want to have a chance to be on the list, you have to let me know what country you’re in if you don’t live in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, or Australia. I’ll see if I can add India. I know I have a lot of readers over there.
So….anyone else living in a country that wasn’t listed above who’d like a chance to enter the giveaway, please let me know. I will send the information out in my March Newsletter and ask people on there if they live in a country not listed above as well.
I’ll start the giveaway on March 5 and run it for one week. Then Goodreads will give me the winners and I’ll post an announcement in this blog, my website, and on Facebook. Then I’ll run down to the post office here in town and mail them off.
I think this will be a lot of fun!
