What in the world is going on? This ought to be a piece of cake since I write romance most of the time, but it’s like I have stage fright on this one. I don’t get it at all. I know the words that should be written, but for some reason, I feel like everyone’s reading over my shoulders. Maybe it’s because I’m aware that a significant portion of people interested in this book are not romance readers. I’ve gotten emails. That’s how I know. But good grief, that doesn’t mean these people don’t enjoy books with a romantic subplot in it. Maybe I should tell myself this is a romance novel and go for it. 😛
Okay. Back to writing the scene and stopping the whole procrastination thing. I’d hope on Facebook and answer comments over there, but I know I’ll get sidetracked and never write this scene. *sigh*
As a side note on a totally unrelated topic, I’ve posted a poll on my Ruth first draft blog asking people what I should work on in April and May, and so far Shotgun Wedding is winning by four votes. I never expected it to be this close. I thought there would be a wide gap between the choices. The choices were Bride of Second Chances and Shotgun Wedding.
