First of all, book trailers do not sell books. At least not on a significant scale. So why make them? Because they’re fun. There’s no other reason I make book trailers. I use a program called Animoto (at www.animoto.com) where all I have to do is upload pictures and add my text. Animoto provides the music and can provide some video and pictures if they fit what you have in mind. I went ahead and splurged on the $249 subscription for a year because I make a lot of videos, and considering how much money I could spend on the music and video alone, I’d spend a lot more in the end than $249. So this is one of those guilty pleasure things I indulge in. They don’t sell books, but I enjoy them. 😀
So for anyone interested, here are a couple I recently did…
This is for Bid for a Bride.
This is my updated ‘photo album’ for the characters in Return of the Aliens. I had to change the cover at the end, and while I was at it, I added Dr. Reyes who turned out to have a bigger part than I originally anticipated.
And now for the awesome picture I found at www.dreamstime.com tonight that I just had to have! I don’t know what book it’ll be for yet, but I am thinking it might go to one of Dave and Mary Larson’s children in the Nebraska series.
Do you notice how their necks form a heart? I don’t know what plot will go with this one, but I am in love with the cover. 😀
Well, that’s it for now.
