Update On What I’m Doing

Some things have changed since I last made an update, so I need to make another one.  😀

1. Return of the Aliens is currently on track for being published close to May 1.

I’m hoping to hit May 1, but we’ll see.

2.  Prelude to Brave Beginnings

After an informal poll, the majority of people I asked have decided it would be nice to take out the scenes with Julia and Chogan in them to put into a small ebook.  This way anyone who hasn’t or doesn’t want to read Restoring Hope can read the background of how Julia and Chogan met and fell in love. It will be available for free via Smashwords, B&N, Kobo, Sony, Diesel, and Apple.  It will not be up on Amazon because Amazon doesn’t allow for free.

3.  Life Mate will be out around June 1, give or take a couple weeks.

I will probably finish the first draft this week.  Then it’s off to proofreaders and polishing up and such.  I didn’t think I’d be finishing this fast, but since I am, I might as well check this one off my list.

4.  Brave Beginnings is scheduled for release on June 1, give or take a couple of weeks.

Once I get Return of the Aliens published and the first draft of Life Mate done, I can turn my attention to making the changes my proofreaders caught and then going through it another time.

5.  Bride of Second Chances

I think this book is going along smoothly.  Tonight I hope to hit 40,000 words.  My word count goal is 65,000, so we’re halfway there.  For those of you reading the interviews/meetings, you know how this one is going along.

I hope to have the first draft done by mid-May.  I know.  It’s hard to believe it’s coming up that soon, but that is why I love marathon writing.  You get the first drafts done faster.

6.  Just Good Friends will be my next marathon writing book.

I want to have this book’s first draft completed by July 1 or very close to it, so I will halt all writing projects but this one come mid-May.  That means Kate Page will be on break.  Why July 1?  Because my husband comes home from South Korea for a month, and I’d rather be spending it with him instead of on a computer.  So that is why I’m pushing myself to get the books published and rough drafts finished before July.

7.  Estimated dates of publication for Bride of Second Chances is September 1 and for Just Good Friends is October 1.

    • It’s crazy around here right now. LOL I see you’re on FB, but I had to go take care of kiddos and then answer a couple of emails. I’d like to hit 40,000 words tonight in Bride of Second Chances, so I’m going to see what I can do there. *sigh* Not enough time in the day.
