1. Amazon still has not removed the third book at http://www.amazon.com/the-path-to-christmas-pdf-ebook/dp/B0054DW3GW/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_1 . I’m counting down the days to when I contact the copyright lawyer. In the meantime, I want to thank everyone who voted up my review to notify people the book is stolen and I also want to thank the person who added her review.
I have been checking Amazon and other book selling sites on a regular basis (like a couple times a day) to make sure nothing else is going on that shouldn’t be. From here on out, I think it’s safe to say I’ll be diligent about checking my books in the future.
2. The contest is still on. So far, there are six entries. I haven’t read them yet. I plan to remove the names, read the entries, and make a decision on the same day, which is June 30. July 1, the winners will be announced on this blog and contacted.
3. I’m planning something else, but I hesitate to say on this blog since (for all I know) the person who stole my books reads my blogs. So when the latest piece of information is ready, I’ll announce it. I don’t need to give a thief any advantages.
4. I might put Runaway Bride on hold so I can write a historical romance. I want to do a historical western with one of the Larsons. Shotgun Groom is probably going to be a comedy, so that one is not going to be it. I’m thinking of writing Isaac’s Bride. I need something more serious, and I need something historical. The historicals seem to reach into the heart better than the contemporaries do, for whatever reason.
I plan to write Just Good Friends at the same time, and that will be my contemporary and light-hearted read. I’d like to get it done because it’s a holiday romance (spanning Thanksgiving to New Year). But I need something that might bring someone to tears during parts of it to help balance my emotions out, so I don’t have it in me to do another contemporary or comedy at this point in time. All I can say is that having your work stolen from you, as well as your identity, is a gut-wrenching experience. One thing I do know is that God has allowed it to happen for a reason. What that reason is, I don’t know. But I also know that He is also the one who knows who stole my work and will take care of that person(s) in His time. Sometimes you just have to let God do His part while you do yours. I can’t do everything, but I can take my case to the One who can.
