The First Draft of Bound by Honor, Bound by Love is Done!

I just finished it!  I was so excited I had to share the good news.  I’ve been at the computer all day writing, and between interruptions from the kids (who are bored) and cooking food, I finally did it.  There were times when I doubted I could get it done this year.  The characters would give me nothing to write for weeks on end, but as soon as I lowered the word count goal, the writing became easy.  Who knew the problem was placing a word count goal on the book?  LOL

Anyway, I am at chapter 13 (out of 25 chapters) with Her Counterfeit Husband.  I would have finished by now if I hadn’t been working on Bound by Honor, Bound by Love.  But it’s no big deal.  Now I can work on going through the initial of both books.  😀

    • I expect it to be around either around late August to early September. I won’t have a definite date until the editor and proofreaders give the book back to me. I plan to put it on the Nook myself instead of waiting for Smashwords to do it. In the past, that’s what caused books to take so long when it came time to get them on B&N. 😀

  2. Yay! I know you’re glad it’s done. Forgetting about the word count is what helped me get back on track. I think we need to stop doing that for any book and just let the words flow as they will. 🙂

    • I think you’re right. While it’s fun having the meter there, it can also get discouraging if the story isn’t flowing well. Maybe I should try something where I update how many chapters I’ve completed so that people can still keep track of my progress. I’ll see how that method goes. 😀
