Updates on What I’m Doing

I notice WordPress made some changes in how I can pin pictures in my blog posts. I’m not thrilled with it, but if the placement of the covers suck or are too big, that’s why.

Interview for a Wife will be out this Saturday.

And I’ve been trying to line things up so that the blog post, Mailchimp newsletter, update this blog and my website, and other small things here and there I do when I put a new book out. At one time, I made a list, but I don’t know where I put it. I hope I don’t forget to do anything. I know. One would think by now I’d have it all memorized, but I don’t. πŸ™‚

The Cursed Earl’s first draft is almost done

Books in the Marriage by Necessity Series:

After all this time, the end is in sight. This book has been so tricky. I know who the villain is, but figuring out HOW the villain will make his move has set me on one dead end after another because I need the other characters to fall for what he’s doing in a way that makes sense. I can’t say what the villain is going to do or why without spoiling the book. Suffice it to say that someone doesn’t want our hero and heroine to have a happy ending.

The Loner’s Bride is over halfway done

Books in the Wyoming Series:

I’m at the point where Katie has just confronted Jeremiah on taking his time in acknowledging his feelings for her. If you remember Katie in The Rancher’s Bride, you know she says exactly what’s on her mind. I’m not sure how Jeremiah is going to react yet. I have to write that part of the scene tomorrow. πŸ˜›

Suitable for Marriage is also halfway over done

Books in the Husbands for the Larson Sisters Series (Book 4 to be added):

Daisy Larson (the youngest of Tom and Jessica’s daughters) set a trap that forced Alex and Erin to marry. I didn’t expect her to do that when I started this book. I knew Alex and Erin would end up together, but I had no idea how. Now I know. But, there’s more to go before I’m ready to end the story. Neither Alex nor Erin are sure what to do. Their parents are very happy with the match because they’re friends and had hoped to see Alex and Erin together. Erin had other ideas, but she ended up with him anyway because this is a romance and I have a weird sense of humor. πŸ˜› So at the moment, they’re standing in a house wondering what to do since it’s their wedding night and the only reason they married was because Daisy was being sneaky. Tomorrow when I continue the scene, I’ll find out what happens. I have a suspicion, but until I’m writing, it’s hard to really know.

***

That’s about it. It feels good to finally be back on track and in my writing routine again. I get cranky when I don’t write, so you can imagine my family’s relief. πŸ˜€

I am so excited for all these books!! I can hardly wait! I want to re read the Nebraska series and be all ready for Saturday. I didn’t realize it was here already! Awesome!! Happy writing:)

    • Thank you, Erica!

I know. Time goes so fast. The only downside to doing a pre-order is that it’s easy to forget there are other things to do to get ready for it when the day is approaching.

By the way, Jeremiah didn’t take Katie’s bait. I finished the scene today, and Katie was disappointed. She, however, hasn’t given up, and there’s a dance he needs to chaperone her to where she has something else planned. I have no idea when Jeremiah will realize he never had a chance, but it’s going to come at some point.

      • Erica says:

Good things come to those who wait, so I know Katie’s will have her happy ending. Jeremiah deserves to be happy and I know he will come to that conclusion, sounds like a lot of fun in this book. I am so excited for this story!
Question , I have The Purchased Bride and The Bride’s Choice in the duo books (A Groom’s Promise etc) are the books the same as the ones you have released individually? Was anything added? I was curious. Take Care and
        Happy Writing.

        • It’s satisfying to write it. The series feels complete now.

They are the exact same. I made no changes. Are you familiar with downloading mobi, epub, or pdf files to your e-Reader or computer if you get it from a site like Smashwords or Payhip? I’d love to gift these to you so you can have the individual books instead of having to go to the anthologies to read them. I think it would make the whole series easier to read. The other retailers won’t let me offer coupons, but Amazon will let me gift books to people. I don’t believe other retailers offer a way to gift ebooks. It’s been a while since I checked.

  2. You’ve been busy as always! πŸ™‚

    • I just enlisted my oldest to be an assistant since he’s now out of high school. I’m hoping that will make things easier to juggle. I didn’t like pushing those release dates back.

  3. I’m sorry I haven’t gotten back with you. Things are the same. I plan to bring Paul home the end of October. I’m happy your oldest son is helping you. Is he going to college or is making his way in the world? It’s difficult to believe he is that old. All your sons were so young when you were here. I contacted an agency and they can help but have not decided how and when I’ll use them. I’ve been so busy with everything, and it’s not writing or anything along that line. I’m too busy just trying to survive all this. Take care and happy you are on schedule again. Take care and God bless.

    • I hope everything goes okay with Paul being there. Take it one day at a time. I have a tendency to look at what I need to do for the entire week, and that never helps. πŸ˜€ I don’t write when I’m under a lot of pressure. I didn’t write anything for most of the summer. We can only handle so much on our plate.

Yep, Craig graduated from high school in May. He’s currently my author assistant part-time and will run this gig until he gets his Computer Programming degree from the local college in town. I do so much on the computer that this will (hopefully) be experience he can take with him to the real world.

I’ll keep you in my prayers. God bless you, too.

      • Thanks for the prayers. How long will he be in college? Is it a two year or four year college? Craig will do well with the computer programming. He helping you also gives him a lot of experience. I am working toward bringing Paul home the end of October. I found an agency to help with taking care of him. I just need to know how much Medicare will provide and how much I’ll need other help. The hospice bed is paid by Medicare but the bedding, etc., I’m not sure about that. I’ll keep you informed. Hillcrest is doing a good job with his care, but Paul wants to come home and our Medicaid portion almost takes Paul’s whole net pension. We cannot continue down that road without living on practically nothing. Take care and I’ll be in touch. Happy you are writing again. God bless.
