Here is the description:

Katie Jackson is all grown up, and itโ€™s time for her to find a husband. Though the young men have been coming by the orphanage where she is working, none of them catches her fancy. They all seem like they need to do a lot more growing up before theyโ€™re ready for the responsibilities of a wife and children. Theyโ€™re all more like little brothers than serious prospects for marriage.

If only they were more like Jeremiah Barlow who happens to be running the orphanage. Heโ€™s perfect. Mature, kind, and gentle. Best of all, sheโ€™s attracted to him in a way sheโ€™s never been attracted to anyone before.

Itโ€™s not long before Jeremiah becomes aware of Katieโ€™s interest in him. And worse, heโ€™s just as interested in her. But it would never work. Heโ€™s twice her age. His best days are behind him.

Katie, however, is not one to give up. When she wants something badly enough, sheโ€™ll move heaven and earth to get it. And Jeremiah is on her list.

Recently finished The Lonerโ€™s Bride. I really wanted to read it all in one go because I was so excited for the story, but made myself put it down a few times to savor it. It was as wonderful as I knew it would be. There is something special about a simple sweet love story.
This is a great series. I really liked the Wild West excitement in the first 3 books, but was happy to relax with book 4.
I know I will be reading it many times over. I do enjoy re-reading favorite books. Thanks again for a great series.

    • I kept thinking maybe some action would break out between the Indians and the Army in this story, but it never went in that direction. This really did turn out to be one long epilogue to the series. I thought it might when I started, and sure enough, it did. I think the first three are my favorites. I really enjoy the more nitty gritty kind of stories. ๐Ÿ™‚
