As it turned out, I was able to keep 80% of my original story. I made some modifications and added more scenes with the heroine and hero to focus the story more on the hero and heroine instead of the other characters.
So what happens now? Well, my editor just finished going through Her Heart’s Desire while I spent my time rewriting and revising The Earl’s Inconvenient Wife. So I’m now going to be in editing mode for two books instead of one, which means, I plan to put all new writing on hold.
I need to read through The Earl’s Inconvenient Wife to smooth it out before I hand it off to my editor. Then I will go to Her Heart’s Desire and see what changes or errors my editor found in it. After that, I send Her Heart’s Desire off to proofreaders. While Her Heart’s Desire is with them, I’ll be working on the changes and corrections my editor found in that book.
Once Her Heart’s Desire is back, I’ll send off The Earl’s Inconvenient Wife to the proofreaders. I’ll then give Her Heart’s Desire a final read through and publish it. After that, I’ll get The Earl’s Inconvenient Wife back, give it the final read through and publish it as well.
Once all of that is done, I should be ready to get serious about new writing again. 😀
And yes, I will be back to doing two more interviews for the suspects who might have kidnapped Dave Larson. I hope to get the next one posted tomorrow, April 30 (my time). I know some of you guys are already at April 30. Here, it’s still April 29.

Editing two books will definitely take a lot of your time, so I don’t blame you for putting your writing on hold. I can’t wait to read An Inconvenient Wife. All your books are on my TBR list, but you have so MANY. LOL. I’ll eventually get to them all.
Btw, I finished Return of the Aliens, and I’m planning on getting reviews up sometime this evening or tomorrow. I’ll have to say, I was surprised when the invasion turned out to be…well…something a little different. 🙂
As I was writing this post, I was thinking of how you were choosing between editing and writing and why you put the writing aside. And yes, I have a lot of books out there, so I understand why you need to take your time. You have your own books to write and other books to read, too. 😀 No rush. I’m just happy you’re willing to give my books a chance.
Regarding Return of the Aliens, I got the idea when I was browsing You Tube videos and a “news” source said Obama was going to do alien disclosure in November 2010. Needless to say, the month came and went with no disclosure, but it did get my brain working on what would happen if that happened. At the same time, I was watching other You Tube videos that claimed aliens were really demons. Then I watched a bunch of other conspiracy theories and picked which ones to add to the book. I want to do a book on the theories I’m learning about Noah and the flood along DNA manipulation. It’s amazing what stuff is out there on You Tube and how much you can do with it.
This is good news
I’m breathing a sigh of relief. Now the problem is finding time to edit. I should probably never do a giveaway when I need to edit a book. LOL
