It’s been a very busy, but productive, February. Since I have a lot going on, I’ll get into it. 🙂
A couple of people have asked me when The Perfect Wife (Book 3 in the Misled Mail Order Brides Series) will be out. The answer is either June or July.
This is Mark Larson’s romance, and I need to get back to writing it at the end of this week or on Monday. (I took a break from this so I could focus on Make Believe Bride and The Marriage Contract.)
I’m hoping to do Annabelle’s romance for Book 4, but I have to see if I can come up with a plot for her story first. Right now, my mind is blank when it comes to Annabelle. I have an idea of who I’d like to see her with, but there is no plot to use at the moment. So I’ll have to see if something pops up during the writing of The Perfect Wife. If I don’t get anything, I’m not going to worry about it. There’s no point in writing a book that doesn’t have a solid plot.
Now for the stuff I just finished…
Make Believe Bride will be out March 24!
This book turned out A LOT differently than I expected, but I’m very excited for the direction the rest of this series will take. This continues on from the fall-out of Lady Eloise’s social standing in the Ton, and since Lady Stacey, the Duke of Cathorn’s daughter, is Ladies of Grace, she is impacted by the sudden turn of events. I thought it’d be fun to have a plot where the hero and heroine pretend to be engaged, so that is the central focus while everything else is playing out. There are two things that happen at the end of this story that leads into Book 4.
Book 4 is going to be The Perfect Duke, and it will be Miss Webb’s story.
At first, I thought Miss Webb was as bad as Miss Wilmington, but it turns out Miss Webb wasn’t so bad after all in Make Believe Bride. Since that’s the case, she’ll get her own book. Sorry guys, but I cannot, under any circumstance, redeem Lady Eloise or Miss Wilmington. Those two are two awful, though Lady Eloise is a lot darker. Miss Wilmington is just annoying.
The Marriage Contract Will Be Out In April!
This is with my editing team as we speak. I finished it last week, got the first round of edits done, and handed it off on Monday to the awesome people in my team.
This is Mr. Stephen Bachman’s romance, and I should warn everyone that Eloise is not in this book at all. By the time this book begins, Eloise has been dead for a year. As I mentioned above, I couldn’t work with Eloise. She was too dark. I’ll get into some of that darkness in The Perfect Duke, but I only give glimpses of it (through Stephen’s thoughts) in this book. This book is loosely based off Beauty and The Beast, and Stephen is the Beast and Patricia is the Beauty. Some people thought Eloise was to be the Beast, but that’s not the way it played out. I don’t want anyone to go into this book expecting something it isn’t.
Book 2 is going to be loosely based off of Cinderella, but I’ll get more into that later. I’m thinking Book 3 will be loosely based off of Snow White, but we’ll see how things play out in Book 2. Â I really can’t say what direction a series is going until I’m writing the next book in the series.
Love those covers!

I love it when you give us peeks at what you’re doing. It gives us all something to look forward to. 🙂
I’m glad you enjoy them. Sometimes I wonder if others are interested. Most of the time, I feel like I’m rambling. 🙂
