Celebration Giveaway for The Earl’s Inconvenient Wife (and the other books in the Regency Collection)

This Sunday, I’m doing something different from the story sample I usually do.  I’m doing a celebration giveaway!

hWith The Earl’s Inconvenient Wife (which is free) doing so well in the Australian iBookstore at this link, I thought it would be fun to do something I’ve been meaning to do for a while now: offer a giveaway from my Regency Collection.

To date, I have The Earl’s Inconvenient Wife, Her Counterfeit Husband, and A Most Unsuitable Earl available.  The fourth book, His Reluctant Lady, is due out next month (but I have no set date on that one yet).

For anyone not familiar with the books, I’m going to offer a brief description of them.

The Earl's Inconvenient Wife ebook cover

Book 1: Caught in a scandalous situation, Lord Roderick marries a lady he believes tricked him into marriage. Miss Claire Lowell hoped her first Season would result in a marriage based on love, but her new husband hates her. Can she convince him she didn’t trick him into marriage or will she be confined to the loveless marriage she fears?

Book 2: In an act of desperation, the Duchess of Watkins and the butler bury her dead husband in secret. On their way back to the manor, they find a stranger who has been beaten and left for dead. And he looks just like her husband. Dare they replace her husband with a counterfeit? And if they do, what consequences will come as a result of their lie?

Book 3: Ethan Silverton, the Lord of Edon, prides himself on his notorious reputation as a rake because it frees him from having to get married. But one little lie and a meddlesome mother forces him into a situation where he has to marry the most boring lady he can imagine.

Book 4:  From the moment Mister Christopher Robinson meets Lady Richfield at a ball, he is determined to marry her.   Agatha Lyons, however, has no desire to enslave herself to another cold husband.  But nothing she says or does dissuades him from his relentless pursuit of her.  Then the unthinkable happens.  He discovers her secret.  Will she marry him or risk a scandal?

  1. Hello! I just got to my email and read your message about your giveaway this weekend. Very exciting as I love your books!

  2. Rose Gordon says:

Congratulations on the success at iTunes! That is nothing short of wonderful as they are beaming a major player in eBooks!

  3. Hey, Have you ever thought of doing a workshop for people who want to write e-books.. That is something I would pay to attend?

    • I co-author a blog for self-published authors with a three other authors (Stephannie Beman, Joleene Naylor, and Janet Syas Nitsick). It’s at this link. I’m going to click on that link to make sure it goes to the right place. Sometimes in the comments, WordPress will delete a link I make so I want to be sure I get it right. 😀

Anyway, we have a variety of posts over there about writing, formatting, publishing, and promoting ebooks. This is all free of charge. We aim to share what we’ve learned to help others avoid the mistakes we made and to benefit from the things that have worked. (I have especially made a ton of mistakes over the years. :D)

Is there any topic you’re interested in specifically? I can address that in a blog post over there if we haven’t already covered it.

  4. I’m very interested in learning from you the tips for successful publishing of eBooks. I love your books and have read most all but the latest ones. I hunger for more. Thank you for doing the blog.

    • Are you interested in knowing the mechanics of formatting books, making covers, uploading to Amazon, Smashwords, B&N? Or are you looking at tips for marketing ebooks? It helps me know what to write blog posts on if I have a specific idea of what you’re looking for. 😀 I always figure if one person is asking about something, then there are others who want to know the same thing.

      Thanks for the compliment! 😀

Hi Ruth, Probably all of that. I’m not in a position yet to format my book. I’m still at the editing my most recent manuscript. I just put up my website/blog on WordPress and I’m trying to find what I have to offer people that would draw them to my site to read about my books then to eventually purchase them. Who knew when I started writing books, that I would not only be the author, but my own editor, my own agent, publisher and my own publicist. I’m not sure I’m ready. Your blog is great. You’ve obviously taken a great deal of care with it. So for now, I guess blogging and marketing are my main focus until I have a finished, refined product to format. Whatever you write, I’m sure it will be of great benefit to me. Thanks. Carol

  5. Congrats, Ruth! I think the Australian market is getting bigger for us. I love your regencies. 🙂

Reblogged this on eBook Review Gal Blog.

I love your regency series. You have a wonderful style of writing that makes the characters so real. I read a lot in my office at home, I will hear my husband calling “Honey, are you ok in there?” because I’m laughing so much. I like that you have characters from other books like Ethan and Perry. They are the books I go to when I just want to relax and read. I look foreward to the next book and I have recommended your books to my friends especially “the Most Unsuitable Earl” my current favorite.
Good luck to all that entries to the “giveaway” but I am hoping I win!!!!

    • Thanks! I appreciate your comments. 😀 I loved writing Ethan’s book the most because of the switch where the “rake” was more of a prude than his wallflower wife. 😀 I had wanted to do a rake who really isn’t type of book for years, so it was fun to finally get the chance.

I got your entry. Good luck! I’ll be using random.org to pick the winner.
