Just for Fun: A One Minute Spoof off the Twilight Saga

I thought some of you might get a kick out of this.  It comes from a kids’ show on the Disney Channel called Phineas and Ferb, and this episode is “The Curse of Candace”.  The movie they are watching is called “Early Evening” which I think was a pretty clever way of saying “Twilight”.  Anyway, if you’ve read the books or seen the movies, you might enjoy this spoof:

By the way, I watch Phineas and Ferb because my kids love it.

That’s hilarious. I had to watch ‘Twilight’ because my oldest daughter was into it at the time – I might have enjoyed it more if the plot was anything like ‘Early Evening”.

    • I didn’t see Twilight, and I didn’t read the books. I did, however, hear so much about them and had a friend tell me what happened so I knew why the parody was funny. I love that, “Didn’t you just have a shirt on?” comment. I almost wish she had chased Jacob just because he was cuter in the posters. I can’t get over the title “Early Evening”. That was so clever of the writers to come up with it. 😀

  2. That’s cute. I watched a Phineas and Ferb movie with my friend’s eight year old son on the way to Disney World last year, and then we saw the characters IN Disney World. Great spoof!

  3. LOL…Good one! My girls like P & F too, but I missed this.

  4. I love Phineas and Ferb! I wish they had been my brothers, because it would have been fun. I’m more a fan then my kids. LOL

    • They’d be awesome brothers. I love how they use the same music for Candace, Agent P, and that evil guy. I even bought that squirrel in the pants song they did because it was catchy. I’m impressed with how many songs they create.

  5. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • It ended the way I would have done it: with the werewolf winning the girl, so I guess there was a team Jacob fan on the staff of that show. hehe I really thought the vampire was going to sparkle when the sunlight hit him.

I loved this episode. Guilty of seeing every P&F show out there. I have an 11 yr old but I think I’m a bigger fan than he is. Agent P is my hero! We even went to see the live action Disney show. It was awesome!

I’m speechless. I will be the first to shamelessly admit that other than the names, Bella, Edward and Jacob, I am lost. I don’t know who or what each are (except, I’m assuming Bella is human since she’s the gal). However, though I have no idea who the Twilight people are, I thought this was hysterical!

    • I’ll break down the books for you. Bella moves to a new school. Every guy falls at her feet and begs to go out with her, but she decides she likes this mysterious guy, Edward, who basically told her to stay away from him and that she repulsed him (not in exact words but that was pretty much it). So she decides she has to find out more about him. It turns out he’s a vampire and her blood is like heroine to him so that’s why he pushed her away. Then he decides he can’t be with her, even though he loves her. She’s mortal; he’s not. Him wanting to drink her blood is a conflict of interest. So then this really hot guy Jacob starts dating her and in the movies he likes to go around without a shirt (hence the “weren’t you wearing a shirt?” comment in the spoof that I loved). Turns out Jacob is a werewolf. The girl can’t find a normal guy to save her life. But then Edward returns and she’s got to go through the agony of choosing Edward or Jacob. After much teen angst, she chooses the vampire, upsetting Team Jacob fans everywhere. But the Team Edward fans were happy so all is cool. Then she and Edward marry and she has weird pregnancy cravings (naturally) like wanting to drink blood and stuff. She gives birth, nearly dies, Edward changes her into a vampire to save her, and it turns out the baby girl is Jacob’s soul mate. The girl ages fast and she and Jacob will probably live happily ever after. Their story hasn’t been told, but I assume that’s the direction Stephanie Meyer was heading.

Uh, thanks for filling me in… I’m a bit more disturbed for having read this than I was before, but I guess for vampires and werewolves, age doesn’t matter and it doesn’t seem weird to them to marry an ex’s daughter. Anywho… I’m off to read (and write) some historical romance between humans! I seem to understand them a little more.

        • LOL I think it’s the forbidden love and love triangle that appealed to the general audience. I’ve read paranormals only because I liked the authors first, but I don’t seek them out. Even though I do think Stephanie Meyer is a great storyteller, I had no desire to finish the series. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.
